Your vendors' prices are their prices.

There is a question couples almost never think to ask a wedding planner, and it is the one that tells you everything. How do you get paid?

The answer you would expect is simple: you do. The couple pays me. But the honest answer, for a great many planners, is a different word altogether. Twice. Or even more. Once by you, through a fee. And then again by your vendors, quietly, through commissions you were never told about. To make that second payment work, the vendor has to quote you a little more than they would quote a stranger, so there is room for the planner's cut inside the price. You pay more. You never see it. And here is the part rarely said out loud: most vendors do not offer that cut, the planner expects it. It has simply become the default. So few of us work in the open that a florist or a band now assumes a planner will want a slice, and quietly builds it into the price you are given.

We think that is the opposite of the job.

When you hand a planner your wedding, you are handing over two things: your money and your trust. The money is replaceable. The trust is the entire product. The moment it is quietly spent behind your back, there is nothing left worth paying for. So here is exactly how we work, in full daylight.

We don't take commissions from your vendors. Ever.

Your photographer, your florist, your band, your celebrant. Whether we contact them for you or you reach out to them yourself, the price does not change by a single euro. We never add a markup, and we never take a cut for the introduction. That is the point.

We're paid by you. Once. Out loud.

One flat fee, agreed before you sign anything, for the planning and the coordination. You always know what we cost, because we tell you, and it never changes shape depending on who you book.

The one exception, and how we handle it.

Sometimes a venue insists on paying us, as their own marketing, because we bring them couples. It is never a markup on you: your price stays the same whether you come through us or find them on your own. When it happens, we tell you, we make sure it costs you nothing extra, and that money comes straight back to you, off the venue bill or off our fee. We never keep it.

Why we'd rather have it this way.

Because our actual job is not saving you ten euros here and there. It is building a wedding that is completely yours: reading what matters to you, pointing you toward the venue and the people who genuinely fit, refining the things worth refining, and being the ones who hold every thread together on the day, so that nothing lands on you. That is what you are actually paying us for. And we can only do it honestly if the advice is clean, if the florist we suggest is the right florist and not the one paying us the most.

Transparency is not the thing we sell. It is the floor we stand on, so we can sell the thing that actually matters: peace of mind. A celebration that is completely yours, with the confusion lifted and the quiet fear that something is slipping out of control taken off your shoulders. That is the real product.

Wherever your search takes you, with us or with anyone else, trust your own instincts on those first conversations. The right people leave you calmer, not more confused. And never be afraid to ask the awkward question, the one about money and how your planner is paid. Someone who works in the open will welcome it. The way they react will tell you far more than the answer itself.
